Since the 21st century, trade and distribution have formed the economic sector, traditionally known as trading, which encompasses all the activities of companies specializing in the exchange of capital goods and consumer goods between those who sell them, the suppliers, and those who buy them, the customers.
Distribution is the part of commerce or trade that corresponds to retail sales to the end consumer. It can be done directly by the producer, for example in markets, or by producers who have an integrated or franchised sales network.
