This course explores the strategic tools and theories that enable companies to grow and thrive in complex international environments. It places particular emphasis on the management of multinational enterprises, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and sustainable growth.
Social Economy and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
- Principles of the social economy: Understanding the role of businesses in society, beyond the mere pursuit of profit. Exploration of economic models aimed at reconciling financial performance and social impact.
- CSR and sustainability: A study of strategies that integrate sustainable and ethical practices. An analysis of how companies adopt CSR to meet stakeholder expectations, reduce their carbon footprint, and contribute positively to the community.
Strategies of Multinational Firms:
- Internationalization of businesses: The different strategies for expansion into global markets, including the localization and standardization of products and services.
- International risk management: Analysis of the political, economic and cultural risks faced by multinational firms and strategies to mitigate them.
- Global coordination: Studying how multinationals manage their subsidiaries around the world, optimizing supply chains and maintaining strategic consistency.
Business Growth:
- Growth strategies: Identify and understand the internal (innovation, diversification) and external (mergers and acquisitions) growth strategies used by companies to develop.
